Monument to the Battle of Red Buttes, Wyoming. The exact location of this 1865 battle is not known, nor is the location of the mass grave that was dug for the Army detail that was killed during it. The monument's location, like that of a cemetery that features tombstones for the lost soldiers, is only approximate.
